Regional Business Partners Network

The Regional Business Partner Network (RBPN) is a business support service jointly funded by NZTE and Callaghan Innovation. The network is made up of multiple organisations nationwide who are contracted by NZTE and Callaghan Innovation to employ Growth Advisors.

The role of the Growth Advisor is to work with business owners and key managers (Customers) who are looking to grow their business but need some support in identifying how to go about it.

The Growth Advisors do this by following these steps:

  1. Undertaking a discover session with the Customer to understand the business
  2. Providing an action plan to help Customers identify and prioritise their next steps
  3. Following up with Customers on progress on actions then reviewing possible next steps

The Growth Advisors add value to their Customers by providing trusted, unbiased and conflicted support. The Growth Advisors have access to a variety of tools to help support their Customers, which include the Management Capability Voucher Fund. Business Eligibility:
  • Businesses will need to have met with an RBP Growth Advisor and registered on the RBP Platform to access this support.
  • Businesses will need to meet the existing eligibility criteria:
    • Have undergone an assessment with a Regional Partner (i.e.: Growth Advisor);
    • Have fewer than 50 full-time equivalent employees;
    • Are registered for GST in New Zealand;
    • Are operating in a commercial environment; and
    • Are a privately owned businesses, or are a Maori Trust or incorporation under the Te Ture Whenua Maori Act 1993 or similar organisation managing Maori assets under multiple ownership.
You will need to:
  1. Register https://web.regionalbusinesspartners.co.nz/business/registration
  2. Meet with the growth advisor (online) and become approved (within 48 hours)
  3. Contact us to arrange your session
  4. Once the session is arranged with us, we will give you a link. You will then need to go onto the RPB website and book the session using the link.
